Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 16, at Terpening Son Chapel for Marceline Kuykendall, Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Kuykendall, 88, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at her home.
Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Krogman, Jason Krogman, Jack Goldsmith, Ray Peters, Derrick Tomgenovich, and Jason Valdez.
Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Friday.
Marceline was born July 13, 1924 in Grapeland, Texas the daughter of Otis Herod and Effie Irene Estel Herod. She came to Artesia in 1944 from Texas.
On Dec. 16, 1944 she was married to Thomas Henry Kuykendall in Dallas, Texas. He preceded her in death May 18, 1979.
She was a salesclerk, and owned and operated Burger Basket. She attended the Church of Christ, loved attending her grandchildrens events, her favorite hobby was quilting, and never missed a Dallas Cowboys game.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters.
Survivors include son Charles Kuykendall and wife Judy of Artesia daughters Carol Yvonne Peters and husband Ray of Great Falls, Montana, and Connie Krogman and husband Jim of Artesia brothers Charles Herod and wife Elaine of Dallas, Texas, and Jerry Herod and wife Donna of Hawthorne, Nevada sisters Carol Whitt of Foley, Alabama, and Ruth Harrison of Nacogdoches, Texas 5 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Paws and Claws or charity of choice.
