Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Manuel Sapata Molina of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Molina, 91, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 in Midland, Texas.
Fr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Boo Boo Chavarria, Oscar Molina, Richard Molina, Jack Molina, George Molina,Adam Olguin, Toby Heredia, and Theodore Molina. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Molina, AnthonyMolina, Desiree Molina, Alyssa Molina, Joshua Delarosa, Manual Delarosa, and Eddie Saenz.
Visitation will be at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
Manuel was born July 3, 1921 in Loving, New Mexico the son of Theodore Molina and Manuela Ranteria Molina. He was a longtime Artesia resident.
He served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
In September 1945, he was married to Anita Villa in Artesia. She preceded him in death February 19, 2002. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Jesus, George, Leon, and Abelino Molina sisters Epimenia Molina, Viginia Molina, Paula Salazar, and Fidela Olguin.
He was a Janitor with the Artesia public School system and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Manuel loved to go deer hunting, ride horses, and spend time with his family and friends.
Survivors include son Tommy Molina and wife Linda of Midland, TX daughter Dora Zepeda and husband Jimmy of Midland sister: Frances Ramirez of Artesia 9 grandchildren including 2 he raised as daughters Denise Guebara, and Melissa Molina both of Roswell, N.M. 15 greatgrandchildren 7 greatgreatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
