Manuel Lara, 68, passed away January 12, 2025. He was born on January 11, 1957, to Lillia and Antonio Lara. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia, NM. Manuel spent his career as an oil field worker. He enjoyed the outdoors. Manuel enjoyed fishing, hunting, and carpentry. He enjoyed restoration of old cars and collecting antiques. He is survived by his wife Frances Lara and six children: Jacob Lara, Amy Lara, Crystal Lara partner Patrick Tirre, Fabian Lara, Troy Lara, Ramiro Lara, 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He is proceeded in death by his daughter Jennifer Lara, his parents Lillia Lara and Antonio Lara, brothers; Cruz Lara, Johnny Lara, and Tony Lara, and one sister Flavia Martinez. Pallbearers include Fabian Lara, Demri Lara, Steven Molina, Ricky De La Rosa, David Molina, Johnny Lara, Josh Lara, Alfredo Ochoa. Honorary Pallbearers include Devin Lara, Amyus Machuca, Jimmy Lara, Kenneth Sanchez, Ramiro Lara, and Troy Lara. A viewing will be held Monday January 20th at Terpening and Son from 2-4 pm. Services are scheduled Tuesday January 21st at Our Lady of Grace, Rosary at 9:30 am funeral service to follow at 10. Burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery.
