Manuel Esquibel, Jr.

Services are scheduled at 9:30 AM. Saturday, May 29, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Juan Manuel Perez Esquibel Jr., 816 S. 2nd St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Esquibel, 52, died Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at his home. Fr. Benedict Folger SS. CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Manuel Esquibel III, Michael Esquibel, Adon Esquibel, Pete Esquibel, Alex Esquibel, and Joey Esquibel. Honorary pallbearers will be all of friends. Mr. Esquibel was born June 13, 1951 in Artesia, New Mexico; the son of Manuel G. Esquibel and Rosa Perez Esquibel. On March 13, 1997 he was married to Mary Soto in Artesia. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia. He was a construction laborer, and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 P.M. Friday at Our Lady of Grace Church. Survivors include his wife Mary Esquibel of the family home; mother Rosa Esquibel of Artesia; sons Manuel Esquibel III, of Artesia, Michael Esquibel of Artesia, Adon Esquibel of Artesia, and Lino Catarino Porras of Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas; daughter Jeanette Esquibel of Artesia; brothers Pete Esquibel of Artesia, Alex Esquibel of Artesia, Ricky Esquibel of Artesia, and Joey Esquibel of Artesia; sisters Mary Flores of Artesia, Andy Ybarra of Artesia, Margie Segura of Artesia, Lucy Ybarra of Artesia, Erma Lopez of Artesia, Christine Stromme of Austin, Texas, and Baola Olson of Las Cruces, NM; 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father.
