Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Monday, August 4, at Our Lady of Grace Church for Maggie Galvan Jaques, 809 N. 4th St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Jaques, 64, died Thursday, July 31, 2003 at her home. Fr. Richard Lifrak will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Michael Galvan, Israel Bejarano, Lawrence Bishop, Andy Brito, Billy Martin, and Ramon Marquez. Honorary pallbearers will be all of her nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jaques was born February 27, 1939 in Hondo, Texas; the daughter of Domingo Galvan and Vicenta Gonzales Galvan. On Feb. 20, 1960 she was married to Manuel Jaques in Artesia, New Mexico. She came to Artesia in 1940s from Hondo. He preceded her in death on June 10, 1995. She was a sales clerk at Bennies Western Wear for 30 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 pm Sunday at Our Lady of Grace Church. She was preceded in death by parents, a brother, stepson, and in-laws. Survivors include sons Lee Jacques and wife CeAnne of Albuquerque, NM, and Roy Jaques of Artesia; daughters Linda Trujillo and husband Alvin of Moriarity, NM, and Rose Anne Jaques of Artesia; brothers Henry Galvan of Carlsbad, NM, and Pete Galvan of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren Jennifer Trujillo, Erika Trujillo, Rochelle Trujillo, Dante Jacques and Chance Jacques; numerous nieces and nephews.
