Mae Buck

Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 10, at First United Methodist Church for Mae M. Buck, Artesia, New Mexico. PMrs. Buck, 89, died Saturday, November 6, 2004 in Lubbock, Texas. PRev. Paul Dean Duerksen will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. PMrs. Buck was born March 16, 1915 in Conroe, Texas; the daughter of John Wilburn Neal and Maude Wilma Culberson Neal. She came to Artesia from Texas in 1929. POn December 19, 1933 she was married to James M. Buck in Roswell, N.M. He preceded her in death July 21, 1996. PShe was a housewife and member of First United Methodist Church, Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, member D.O.E.S., 4-H Club leader, member Eddy County Extension Club, worked with the Red Cross and the Salvation Army. PShe was a devoted mother, grandmother, mother-in-law and aunt to her survivors. She had numerous talents from cooking to decorating. She was a good friend to many people. PSurvivors include daughter Jo Henderson of Lubbock; grandson Chad Hutcherson of Austin, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
