Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, at First United Methodist Church in Artesia for lifelong Penasco and Hope area resident Madie Reeves Teel.
PDavid Brunson will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Allen, Wesley Grau, Jason Allen, Justin Allen, Mason Grau, Daniel Ojinaga and Eric Black, and Marcus Grau in spirit. Honorary pallbearers will be her greatgrandsons and nephews Randy Hart, Ritchie Hart, Jim Harwell, Dub Cox, Larry Hendricks, Lonnie Hendricks, Austin Yearwood, Bobby Ledlow and Richard Ledlow.
PVisitation will be at Terpening amp Son Mortuary beginning 10:00 a.m. Monday. The family will receive friends at the Mortuary from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday.
PMadie was born January 11, 1923 in Alamogordo, New Mexico the daughter of William Austin Reeves and Eula Woodson Reeves. She spent her early life at the family home in Elk, N.M.

He preceded her in death July 6, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents, by a son Barry Reeves Teel, a grandson Marcus LeRay Grau, and by siblings Ottie McGuire, Letitia Beavers, Betty Ledlow, Truth Yearwood, Tempie Cox, Elva Hogsett, Lonnie Reeves and Loren Reeves.
PShe was a homemaker, wife and mother. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church and was honored there for her longtime commitment and service. She served as president of Womens Society of Christian Service and held various other offices. Her favorite thing was participating in the annual Methodist Bazaar. She was also a member of Yucca Cowbells, N.M. Wool Growers Association, N.M. Cattle Growers Association, the AQ Chapter of PEO, and enjoyed playing bridge.
PSurvivors include daughters Karen Allen and husband John of Las Cruces, N.M. and Elnabeth Grau and husband Wesley of Grady, N.M. grandchildren Jana Allen, Jason Allen, Justin Allen and wife Megan, Meghan Byrem and husband Blair, and Micah Black and husband Eric greatgrandchildren Mason, Miles and Merit Grau, Daniel Ojinaga and Noah Allen, Ashlynn and Payton Allen, Brody and Cash Black, Torin Byrem, and Cera, Mikayla, Julie and Dakota Allen. Also surviving are sisters Eva Hendricks and Thelma Harwell both of Roswell Sisterinlaw Kay Hart and numerous nieces, nephews and friends including caregivers Branka Barrett and Jan Elisabeth.
