Mable Dunlap-Voss

Mable DunlapVoss went to be with her Lord and Savior on Aug. 27, 2010 at Landsun Homes, Carlsbad, NM.

She was born Oct. 19, 1915 in Clovis N.M to Gertrude Turner and Boone C. Turner. In early 1920, she moved with her family to Post, Texas where she met and married Marvin Dunlap on Aug. 3, 1930. They had two children, Geraldine and Bobby. Marvin passed away in Nov. 8, 1976 after 46 years of marriage.

Mable met Glenn Voss in Post and they married in Roswell, N.M. on Feb. 24, 1979. Glenn and Mable moved from Post to Artesia in 1999. Glenn passed away on Jan. 9, 2004 at the age of 93 five days before their 25th anniversary.

Mable was a member of Hermosa Drive Baptist Church in Artesia. While living in Post, she and Glenn attend First Baptist Church.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and Boone C. Turner two brothers Clyve Turner and Delbert Turner, and two sonsinlaw James King and Bennie Wilks.

Mable is survived by her daughter Geraldine KingWilks of Artesia son Bobby Dunlap and wife Carol of Port Angeles, Wash. six grandchildren, Kenneth David King and wife Kathleen, James Stephen King and wife Cindy, Jon Keven King and wife Susan, and Phillip Conolly King and wife Patty, Greg Dunlap and partner Roya, and Shawn Conrad and husband Stan 10 greatgrandchildren, three stepgreatgrandchildren, four greatgreatgrandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The funeral will be held at Hudmans Funeral Home, 2:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 3, in Post, TX. Interment will be at Terrace Lawn Cemetery in Post.
