Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Guadalupe Vallez Cabezuela of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Cabezuela, 96, died Friday, September 14, 2012 at Artesia General Hospital.
Fr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons Roman Lopez, Ramon Frazee, Joe Cabezuela, Robert Cabezuela, Gabriel Cabezuela, and Marcos Cabezuela.
Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m. A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Monday at 6:30 p.m.
Lupe was born November 27, 1915 in Rancho Ochoa, Texas the daughter of Ambrosio Vallez and Manuela Dominguez Vallez.
On Dec. 23, 1933 she was married to Esiquio R. Cabezuela in Candelaria, Texas. They came to Artesia in 1945 from Shafter, Texas. He preceded her in death June 15, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, a brother, and six children.
Lupe was a homemaker, a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and the Cursillistas.
Survivors include her daughter Rosa Mariscal and husband Lupe of Artesia sons Felipe Cabezuela of Rowlett, Texas, Esiquio Cabezuela, Jr. of Dallas, Texas, Ramon Cabezuela and wife Alice of Ontario, California, Joe Cabezuela and wife Sylvia of Wylie, Texas, and Cirildo Chilo Cabezuela and wife Adela of Artesia 20 grandchildren 21 greatgrandchildren and 10 greatgreatgrandchildren.
