Luna Brown

No services are scheduled for Luna Brown of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Brown, 91, died Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Landsun Homes in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mrs. Brown was born January 27, 1917 in Cuba, Kentucky; the daughter of Lamar E. Wiggins and Youla Gupton Wiggins. In 1943 she was married to Charles D. Brown in Springer, NM. She came to Artesia in 1981 from Albuquerque, NM. He preceded her in death July 12, 1975. She was a radio operator for the Civil Service Corp of Engineers. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Sarah Bennett, and 2 brothers. Survivors include daughter Linda Brown of Austin, Texas; son-in-law Don Bennett of Artesia; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
