Lowell Irby

Services are schedule for 10am Friday, April 1 at Artesia High School Auditorium for Lowell M. Irby of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Irby, 89, died on March 15, 2022 in Artesia.

Monty Leavell will officiate at the services. Cremation has already been taken place. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Clayton, Bill Gray, Mike Phipps, Bob Lowery, and Jeff Bowman.

Lowell was born on February 28, 1933 in Boswell, Oklahoma; the son of William Bayless Irby and Nell Florence Irby.

Lowell Irby enjoyed serving the community through his pharmacy and being a board member of Artesia School Board. Lowell also enjoyed spending time with his family through out the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Norberta Irby, and brothers Dillard and Eugene Irby.

Survivors include sons Kirk Irby, Eugene Irby, and Wade Irby; a daughter LaNette Irby; grandchildren Brandon Price, Allyson Price, Lesley Adams, Rebecca Price, Noah Irby, Douglas Irby, Nicholas Irby, Robbie Smith, ZoeAnn Smith, and Lowell E. Irby; great-grandchildren M.J., Bodhi, Jerome, Alexander, Parker, and Kassidy.

In lieu of flowers, the Irby family ask for donations to be made to Artesia High School Drama Program, Artesia High School Band Boosters and the Lowell M Irby Family Foundation at South Western Oklahoma State University Pharmaceutical Program.
