Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 17, at First Baptist Church for Louise Craft, 32 Gary Dr., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Craft, 71, died Tuesday, September 14, 2004 in Lubbock, Texas. Rev. Rick Sullivan and Rev. Dave Goodman will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ardin Lewis, David Munson, James Copeland, Buck Hamilton, George Chase, James Evrage, and Ernest Morgan. Honorary pallbearers will be John Craft, Alex Salcido, Jay Ward, Rusty Arp and Trey Craft. Louise was born October 19, 1932 in Mendenhall, Mississippi; the daughter of John W. Warren and Nola Viola Ware Warren. On January 24, 1949 she was married to J. B. Craft Jr. in Raleigh, Miss. They came to Artesia from Mississippi in 1952. She was a housewife and mother and worked for Maddux Monument Company and Terpening Son Mortuary. She was a member of the Pinon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include her husband J. B. Craft, Jr. of the family home; a son John T. Craft and wife Deborah of Artesia; a daughter Janet Silvia and husband Mike of Odessa, Texas; a brother Garrell Warren and wife Ernestine of Mendenhall, Miss.; sisters Lennie Brewer and husband J.D. of Magee, Miss., Lois Bratcher of Magee, Margie Shavers and husband Buddy of Jackson, Miss., Eva Garder of Magee, and Evelyn Searcy and husband Howard of Magee; grandchildren Johnny Craft and wife Denise of Artesia, Lanci Arp and husband Rusty of Lubbock, Texas, Robin Ward and husband Jay of Odessa, Brandy Salcido and husband Alex of Odessa; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Pinon Baptist Church, Box 4, Pinon, N.M 88344.
