Louise Bush

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1st, at the First United Methodist Church in Artesia for former longtime resident Louise Bush.

Mrs. Bush died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at her residence in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Daniel Phelps will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine cemetery. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening.

Louise was born March 18, 1912 in Morgan, Mo., the daughter of Fredrick Dilli and Julia Koegel Dilli.

She married Donald Shannon Bush in Kansas City, Mo. on June 6, 1940. She moved to Artesia in 1945 and was later joined by her husband when he returned from WW II. He preceded her in death on August 6, 1970. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by three sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Bush worked many years at KSVP Radio Station. She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She was a member of P.E.O. and volunteered for Meals on Wheels and Girl Scouts. In 1999 she moved to Albuquerque to be closer to her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter Julie Bush, of Albuquerque her son Bruce Bush of Houston, Texas and grandchildren Shannon Bush Steinmann of Dallas, Texas, and Melanie Bush Lindahl of Austin, Texas.
