Lorraine Colbert

No local services are planned for Lorraine Josephine Colbert, 124 Colbert Rd., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Colbert, 84, died Friday, January 22, 2010 at her home.

Cremation is under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Mrs. Colbert was born August 17, 1925 in Charleston, Illinois, the daughter of Leoren Allen Wicker and Bernice Moyer Wicker.

On Nov. 22, 1941 she was married to Floyd Andrew Colbert in Missouri. They came to Artesia in November, 1952 from Wasson, Illinois. He preceded her in death July 23, 1998. She was also preceded in death by her parents by a daughter Sandra Dixon and by a granddaughter Rebecca Dixon Robinson.

She was a homemaker and member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include a son Floyd Michael Colbert and wife Diane of Ozona, Texas sisters Nancy Blue and Jeannie Keener both of Arizona a brother Bob Wicker and wife Marge grandchildren Debbie Kishur and husband Rick of Artesia, Michael Colbert of Midland, Texas, Lance Colbert and wife Jean of Fort Worth, Texas, and Ellen Bovkoon and husband Myron of Brownfield, Texas seven greatgrandchildren and two greatgreatgrand children.
