Linda Scott

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16 at Hermosa Church of Christ for Linda Mae Bland Scott of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Scott, 74, passed away on October 10, 2017 in Artesia.

Taylor Robles will officiate at the service with burial to follow at South Park cemetery in Roswell. Pallbearers will be Bill Ross, Punk Mason, Darrell Brown, Dennis Maupin, Gary Conklin and Bob Mayberry.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 15 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Linda was born on May 4, 1943 in Greenfield, N.M.; the daughter of James B and Mamie T. Bland. She attended school in Roswell and Artesia and business college in Wichita, K.S. On June 16, 1978 she married Jimmy Scott in Roswell. She was a secretary in the insurance business. Linda was a member of Hermosa Church of Christ. She loved to cook and spend time with her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and only sibling Marcia Spain.

Survivors include her husband Jimmy M. Scott of the family home; son Richard Reynolds III and wife Judy of Mesa, A.Z.; daughters Janie B. Reynolds Schneider of Roswell, N.M., Rebecca Scott-Deeds and husband Todd of Albuquerque, N.M. and Natalie Roberds and husband Ray of Mayflower, A.R.; nine grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Heartfelt thank you for the special care and love shown to Linda and her family by the nurses and staff at San Pedro Nursing Home and Encompass Hospice during Linda's last days.
