Linda Bland was born June 17, 1940 to Willima and Hattie Boyce, in Dayton, NM.
Linda passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 at her home in Hobbs, NM.
She is preceded in death my her parents, her loving husband of 31 years, Donald Bland, a son Myke Browning and six brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her brother Bobby Boyce of Artesia sister Billie Fox of Las Cruces, NM daughter Michelle Turnbow and husband Zane of Hobbs with whom she lived with son Dyke Browning and wife Cathy of Ft. Worth, Texas grandchildren Dace and Quinn Browning of Hobbs, Becky Tribble of Oklahoma and Michail Browning of Las Cruces, N.M.
Linda was a friendly people person who never met a stranger no matter where she was. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and choir in Eunice, N.M. where she lived and raised her family for many years. She worked and volunteered her time at the Eunice Schools substituting and was an aide. She loved her family, loved to cook for them and spent as much of her free time that she could fishing with her husband, friends and family. Her bright sparkling face made this world a brighter place and she is missed more than words could ever begin to express.
Services will be held Friday, June 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Artesia with burial at Woodbine Cemetery.
Friends and family are invited and welcome to come celebrate the closing to this beautiful life.
