Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the Church of God, 901 S. 20th St., for Linda Juarez Barrera, 902 W. Sears Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Barrera, 78, died Friday, February 8, 2013 at her home.
Artie Delton Cantrell will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steven Perez, Michael Perez, Johnathon Bannister, Dillon Fierro, Ruben Delarosa, and Tony Wolf.
Linda was born February 27, 1934 in Artesia, New Mexico the daughter of Ralph Juarez and Paula Chavez Juarez. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia.
In 1952 she was married to Pete Barrera Sr. in Pecos, Texas. He preceded her in death March 14, 1993.
She was a social worker for the New Mexico Children, Youth and Families Department.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Lawrence Barrera, 2 grandchildren, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.
Survivors include sons Frank Barrera and wife Michele, and Pete Barrera Jr. and wife Joetta daughters Vickie Delgado and husband Steve, Olga Bannister and husband Greg, and Yolanda Perez and husband Steve sisters Lucy Rascon, and Virginia French brothers Daniel Juarez, and Bricky Juarez nine grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
