Lillian Redus

Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 29 at Terpening Son Mortuary Chapel in Artesia, N.M. for longtime Artesia resident Lillian K. Redus, of Moore, Oklahoma. Mrs. Redus, 98, died Friday, January 24, 2003 in Moore. Rev. Paul Dean Duerksen will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at Twin Oaks Memorial Park with Eastern Star Rites. Lillian was born December 22, 1904 in Peru, Kansas; the daughter of William Smith and Mary Bascom Smith. She married Charles E. Rinehart on June 4, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas. They came to Artesia in 1956 from Lovington, N.M. Her husband preceded her in death April 26, 1975. On January 6, 1983 she was married to J. D. Redus in Artesia. He preceded her in death August 21, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents and by a daughter; a brother; and by two sisters. She was a homemaker and member of First United Methodist Church; and had been an active member of the Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include a sister Grace L. Young and husband Carroll of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
