Leroy Hatch

Leroy Hatch Services are scheduled at 1:00 PM Friday, September 2, at Pinon Church of Christ for Leroy Hatch, Pinon, New Mexico. Mr. Hatch, 84, died Tuesday, August 30, 2005 at Artesia General Hospital in Artesia, New Mexico. J.T. Ross will officiate at the services with burial at Pinon Cemtery. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday. Mr. Hatch was born January 26, 1921 in Rule, Texas; the son of Andrew Bascom Hatch and Cassey Beatrice Anderson Hatch. On Oct. 21, 1937 he was married to Lorena Avent in Hagerman, N.M. He came to Artesia in area in 1931 from Texas and moved to the Pinon area in 1972. He was a Rancher and worked for the Chaves County Sheriffs Department. He was a member of the Pinon Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, 2 sisters, a grandson and a great-grandson. Survivors include his wife Lorena Hatch of the family home; sons Darvin Roy Hatch of Quitman, Georgia, and Charles Ray Hatch of Roswell, N.M.; daughters Bonnie Lou Mitchell of Carlsbad, N.M. and Betty Louise Goode of Hugoton, Kansas; brothers James E. Hatch of Roswell, Donald Wayne Hatch of Roswell, and Robert Bert Hatch of Roswell; 10 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
