Leon Kodesh

Private memorial services will be held in Oklahoma for Leon Dennis Kodesh, 401 N. 26th, Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Kodesh, 68, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at Artesia General Hospital. Cremation has taken place under direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. Kodesh was born January 29, 1934 in Marland, Oklahoma; the son of Lewis Kodesh and Clara Penny Kodesh. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. On Aug. 19, 1983 he was married to Beverly Schatz in Arlington, Virginia. They came to Artesia in 1995 from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was employed as a Right-of-Way agent and Petroleum Landman; and was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his father Lewis Kodesh. Survivors include his wife Beverly Kodesh of Artesia; mother Clara Kodesh of Marland, Oklahoma; sons Zachary Kodesh and Matthew Kodesh both of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren Ryan Kodesh, Lesleigh Wyjack, and Justin Kodesh all of Tulsa.
