Lela Ellicott

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 30, at Woodbine Cemetery for Lela Arlene Ellicott, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Ellicott, 80, died Thursday, August 29, 2002 at her home. Chaplain Mack Powers will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Mrs. Ellicott was born March 11, 1922 in Stigler, Oklahoma; the daughter of Joseph L. Votaw and Norah E. Randall Votaw. On February 20, 1942 she was married to John Ellicott in Muskogee, Okla. They came from Muskogee to Artesia in 1945. Her husband preceded her in death August 18, 1994. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and one sister. She was a secretary for Neil B. Watson for over twenty years and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
