Leatha Bell

Leatha Odessa Bell Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 1,2002, at South Park Cemetery, Roswell, New Mexico, for Leatha Odessa Bell, 202W. Bland, Roswell. Mrs. Bell, 85, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center in Artesia, New Mexico. Wayne Bedingfield will officiate at the services. Mrs. Bell was born April 6,1917 in Garvin Co., Oklahoma; the daughter of William Isaac McCarty and Julia Rhodes McCarty. On Feb. 20, 1935 she was married to Pat Bell in Oklahoma. He preceded her in death June 12, 1993. She was a longtime Roswell resident. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, one brother and a grandson. Survivors include daughter Shirley Ring of Artesia; sister Irene Sheppard of Byron, Texas; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
