Leah Williams

Memorial services are scheduled at 12:00 p.m. Monday, September 7, at First Presbyterian Church for Leah Margaret Williams of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Williams, 69, died Friday, August 28, 2015 at her home.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Leah was born August 10, 1946 in Clovis, New Mexico; the daughter of Wilbur Trembley and Francis (Knoedler) Trembley. She was a longtime Artesia resident.

On she was married to Ray Williams in . He preceded her in death June 17, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents Bill and Ginnie Trembley.

Leah was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Artesia Moose Lodge. She loved playing the penny slot machines.

Survivors include her ex-husband Fernando Herrera; daughters Margaret Michelle Herrera of Yukon, Oklahoma; sons Glen A. Herrera of Denton, Texas, Gerald A. Herrera of Artesia, and Kevin M. Herrera of Saginaw, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister Louise Trembley of Artesia; and brother Bill Trembley of Payson, Arizona.
