Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 2, at First United Methodist Church in Roswell, N.M. for longtime Artesia resident LaRue B. Rogers of Roswell. Mrs. Rogers, 75, died Tuesday, January 27, 2004 in Abilene, Texas. Rev. Archie Echols will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at 11:30 A.M. at Twin Oaks Memorial Park in Artesia. Pallbearers will be Carl Rogers, Wayne Dearing, Greg Smith, Woody Smith, Jack Blevins, Chris Graham and Bruce Bundrant. Mrs. Rogers was born March 23, 1928 in Artesia; the daughter of Willie Walker Brown and Laura Alice Yost Brown. On Sept. 4, 1946 she was married to Jack C. Rogers in Carlsbad, N.M. He preceded her in death Feb. 20, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and by sisters Pat Wilburn and Nancy Shelton. She was a bookkeeper and was active at the Joy Center and Roswell Adult Center. Survivors include her son Jack C. Rogers, Jr. and wife Susan of Albuquerque; a daughter Patti Bundrant and husband Teri of Abilene; a brother Richard Brown of Alamogordo, N.M.; special friend Willis Neal of Roswell; and grandchildren Craig Bundrant of Beaumont, Texas, Bruce Bundrant of Milwaukee, Wisc., and Grigori Rogers and Alina Rogers both of Albuquerque. Memorial contributions may be made to Hendrick Medical Center Foundation - 1900 Pine - Abilene, TX 79601 or the American Heart Association. Visitation at Terpening Son Mortuary will begin at 2:00 P.M. Sunday. Friends may call on the family at the mortuary Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M.
