Larry Kennedy

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, at Woodbine Cemetery for Larry Kennedy of Artesia, New Mexico. PMr. Kennedy, 67, died Thursday, May 4, 2006 at his home. PElder Gary Persall will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Charles Vern Miller, David Miller, Keck Upchurch, Steve Miller, Steve Schmidt, and Kellen Pacheco. PVisitation at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday. PMr. Kennedy was born August 23, 1938 in Pecos, Texas; the son of Walter W. Ted Kennedy and Helen Cornwell Kennedy. POn June 21, 1957 he was married to Marian Miller in Artesia. PHe served in the United States Navy and worked as an electrical contractor. He was a longtime Artesia resident and was a member of the Community of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother Charles Kennedy, and a daughter Cherie D. Kennedy. Survivors include his wife Marian Pat Kennedy of the family home; mother Helen Kennedy of Artesia; sons Steve Kennedy of Seattle, Washington and Kevin Kennedy and wife LaDawn of Artesia; brothers Robert Kennedy of Parump, Nevada and Kent Kennedy of Odessa, Texas; and grandchildren Holly Kennedy and Justin Kennedy both of Artesia.
