Kent Terry

Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, at Woodbine Cemetery for Ray Kent Terry of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Terry, 78, died Thursday, August 9, 2012 at his home.

Kris Terry will officiate at the services.

Kent was born November 20, 1933 in Wortham, Texas. He was a longtime Artesia area resident after moving here as a baby.

On July 19, 1952 he was married to Elizabeth Pan Horner in Artesia.

Kent spent his whole life ranching and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents E.H. and Merle Lovejoy Bunting and a brother Dick Terry.

Survivors include his wife Pan Terry of The family home daughter Nancy Terry of Tatum, N.M. sons Steve Terry and wife Martha of Lovington, N.M., and Casey Terry of Artesia grandchildren Mark Terry and wife Kathy, Shannon Terry, Dave Terry, Toby Terry and wife Holley, Kris Terry and wife Tanna, Rhiannon Colwell, Whitney Colwell, and Sydney Colwell greatgrandchildren Drevan Powell, Kaeley, and Klara Elizabeth Terry sister Jeanette Carroll of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to a charity of your choice.
