Kenni Thompson

Services are scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday, January 24 at Terpening & Son Chapel for Kenni J. Thompson of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Thompson, 61, died on January 17, 2023 at her home in Artesia.

Leroy Howard will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Raymond Clark, Steven Thompson, Logan Spencer, Jonathan Trujillo, Clifton Foster, Caleb Foster.

Kenni was born on April 17, 1961 in Corpus Christi, Texas; the daughter of Kenneth Louis Greer and Nora Ladelle Turnbow Greer.

Kenni was a member of West Main Baptist Church and was a Hunter Education Instructor. She loved taking care of her home, hunting, fishing, gardening, canning, and singing. She also loved horses, her dogs Ginger Snap and L.B. Jean, and taking care of all the people in her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father Samuel J. Lackey.

Survivors include her husband Robert Thompson; sisters Beth Foster and husband Rick, and Cindy Cogburn and husband Fred; sister-in-law Tammy Trujillo and husband Frank; also by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
