Kathleen Wood

Memorial services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 17, at Faith Baptist Church for Kathleen Marie McCabe Wood of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Wood, 64, died Saturday, December 13, 2014 at her home.

Michael Elliott will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Kathleen was born September 26, 1950 in Artesia, New Mexico the daughter of Bert V. McCabe and Kathleen Garrett McCabe. She was a lifelong Artesia resident.

On July 26, 1970 she was married to Kenneth Wood in Phoenix, AZ.

Kathleen was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church. She loved to bowl and spend time
with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Survivors include her spouse Kenneth Wood of the family home daughter Waynette Stormoen and husband Dewey of Hope, N.M. son Joe Bert Wood and wife Cindy of Artesia brother Bill McCabe and wife Nancy of Tow, Texas sisters Fern Wilson and husband Harrell of Artesia, LaVada Woods and husband Bill of Souix Falls, SD, and Belle Johnston of Snyder, Texas brothersinlaw Tommy Wood and wife Dolores of Corning, Iowa and Bill Wood of Artesia sistersinlaw Sheryl Clark of Artesia and Josie VanCurren of Lovington, N.M. grandchildren Shelbi, Caleb, Nikki, Colton, and Alyssa and a greatgranddaughter Devny and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
