Services are scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday, November 15, at Terpening & Son Mortuary for Kathleen B. Bauer of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Bauer, 87, died on November 9, 2022 in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
Ty Houghtaling will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery.

Kathleen was born on April 13, 1935 in Lake Arthur, New Mexico; the 2nd child to Jack Price and Birtie Chandler Price. She had 4 siblings, Farrell, George, Gerald and Dela (Penny)
Kathleen grew up 25 miles west of Hagerman, NM on the Felix River S-L Ranch. On November 1st, 1958 Kathleen married Henry D. Bauer (Hank) at Walker Air Force Base, Roswell, NM. They were married 41 years. Hank was a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force therefore living in many places, Artesia, New Mexico, Marysville, California, Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Oscoda, Michigan.
She was a hard working lady raising 4 boys, Larry, Gary, Ronnie and Jack. While living in Michigan she was the Cafeteria Manager at Wurtsmith Air Force Base. When Hank retired in 1972 they moved back to Artesia, NM to be close to her dad and sister, Penny. After returning back home she worked and became the manager of the Ben Franklin Store on West Main Street. Kathleen also love working in her yard and garden, she took much pride in doing most of the work herself. She was a very proud lady that loved to get her hair and nails done on a regular basis. She loved getting dressed up and always was properly dressed before she left her house. Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite holidays in which she loved spending time with her kids but especially her grandchildren. Kathleen was an animal lover and always had a loving dog by her side, Cindy, Billy, Rachel, Holly, Lady Bug, Sweetie Pie, and Patches her cat.
Kathleen was a devoted Christian and member of the 1st Baptist Church, Artesia, NM. Our Mom and Memaw will truly be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hank Bauer, and a son Ronnie Taylor. Brothers George Price & Gerald Price
Survivors include sons Larry Taylor, Gary Taylor & wife Cindy, and Jack Bauer & wife Ann; a sister Penny Sutton; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
