Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Julian P. Ochoa, 810 N. 6th St., Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Ochoa, 92, died Friday, November 12, 2010 at Artesia General Hospital.
Fr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Grace Church.
Mr. Ochoa was born April 12, 1918 in Presidio, Texas the son of Arturo Ochoa and Policarpa Parras Ochoa.
He came to Artesia in 1938 from Presidio, Texas. On Aug. 8, 1943 he was married to Delfina Navarrette in Ojinaga, Mexico.
He was a maintenance worker with the City of Artesia Water Department. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, and Curisillistas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, 6 brothers, 2 sisters and 2 grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife Delfina Ochoa of the family home sons Ludivico Ludi Ochoa of Artesia, Julian Ochoa Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M., Ruben Ochoa of Artesia, Guadalupe Ochoa of Artesia, Hector Ochoa of Artesia, Joel Ochoa of Artesia, and Alfredo Ochoa of Albuquerque daughters Mary Montes of Artesia, and Ofelia Perez of Artesia 31 grandchildren, 41 greatgrandchildren, and 5 greatgreatgrandchildren.
