Juanita Perez

Services are scheduled at 10:00 A M Friday, January 9, at Terpening Son Chapel for Juanita Murillo Perez, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Perez, 72, died Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Rev. Abelardo Bolanos will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jon Perez, Aaron Perez, Eric Muller, Gabriel Muller, Lorenzo Guzman, Wilson Bolanos, Anthony Perez and Adam Perez . Mrs. Perez was born March 30, 1931 in Loving, New Mexico; the daughter of Daniel Murillo and Toribia Navarrette Murillo. She came to Artesia in 1943 from Delisias, Mexico. On Sept. 26, 1950 she was married to Henry Perez in Artesia, NM. She was a housewife and attended Primera Iglesia Bautista . A prayer service is also scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at Terpening Son Chapel. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Mindy Morales on Feb. 18, 2000, and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband Henry Perez of the family home; sons Armando Perez of Artesia, and Rolando Perez of Artesia; daughter Diana Coronado of Artesia; brothers David Murillo of Glendale, Arizona, and Daniel Murillo of San Jose, Calif.; sister Elidia Duran of Mexicali, Mexico; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
