Juanita Goodlett

Funeral services will be held for longtime resident, Juanita Russell Goodlett, at 10 a.m. Friday, October 26, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Sullivan officiating. She moved to Artesia in 1937 from Rose Hill, Virginia, attending public schools here, graduating with the class of 1945. She married Bill Goodlett on December 15, 1961, in Alamogordo, N.M. She retired from Yates Petroleum Corporation in 1994. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her parents R. N. Russell and Mattie Bailey Monday. She is survived by two sons Robert Bob Perkins and wife Tammy of Artesia, and Gary Perkins and wife Cathy of Glendale, Arizona; six grandchildren Rex Perkins, Trina Marquez, Lindsey Perkins, Kelli Perkins, Daniel Perkins and Josh Perkins; six great-grandchildren; three brothers Marvin Russell of Roswell, N.M., Boyce Russell of Albuquerque, N.M and Charles Russell of Midland, Texas.
