Juan Segura

Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 5 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Juan F. Segura, 911 N. 4th St., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Segura, 85, died Sunday, June 2, 2002 his home. Father Virgilio Flores will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Anthony Segura, Adrian Segura, Fernando Segura, Rudy Beltran, Porfie Segura, Jason Segura, Ray Segura, and Valentin Garcia. A Rosary service is also planned for 6:30 P.M. Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace. Mr. Segura was born March 3, 1917 in Marfa, Texas. In February, 1943 he was married to Maria Hernandez in Chihuahua, Mexico. They came to Artesia in 1949 from Texas. She preceded him in death May 23, 1979. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a sister Manuela Sanchez; and by a brother Isidro Segura. He was a retired mechanic and salesman for Artesia Ford Sales, retiring in 1998; and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Survivors include sons Julian Segura and wife Sheryl of Albuquerque, N.M., Socorro Segura and wife Elida, Florencio Segura and wife Margie and Porfidio Segura and wife Brenda all of Artesia and Jesse Segura of Midland, Texas; daughters Jane Segura, Mary Segura, Rose Mary Dixon and husband Chris and Teresa Jimenez all of Artesia; brothers Severiano Flores of Chihuahua and D. N. Segura of Artesia; a sister Ramona Castillo of Fort Worth, Texas; 35 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
