Jonnie Bartlett

Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church for Jonnie Rae Bartlett of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Bartlett, 72, died Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Rev. Rick Smith will officiate at the services with burial of the cremated remains at Hagerman Cemetery. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mrs. Bartlett was born December 9, 1934 in Minden, Louisiana; the daughter of Walter J. Cummings and Leah Mae Morgan Cummings. She came to Artesia in 1957 from Roswell, N.M. On July 5, 1963 she was married to Robert C. Bartlett in Roswell. He preceded her in death December 12, 1998. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist denomination. Jonnie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include her daughter Roberta Formwalt and husband Roy of Deming, N.M.; son Robert C. Bartlett, Jr. and wife Sally of Colorado Springs, Colorado; daughter-in-law Patsy Trujillo of Artesia; brother Lonnie Bartlett of Midland, Texas; sister Lois Allen of Haughton, Louisiana; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
