Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 17, at West Main Baptist Church for Johnny Stuart, 708 Runyan Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. PMr. Stuart, 67, died Thursday, October 13, 2005 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Rev. Jason Kraft will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard Stuart, J.B. Stuart, Codi Stuart, Keith Kilpatrick, Charles Smith, and Roger Kilpatrick. Burial has taken place at Woodbine Cemetery. PMr. Stuart was born July 28, 1938 in Electra, Texas; the son of John William Stuart and Vesta Ellen McClain Stuart. POn Sept. 19, 1957 he was married to Louise Fennell in Carlsbad, NM. He came to Artesia in 1964 from Carlsbad. PHe was Owner and Operator of Hamilton Roofing. He was a member of West Main Baptist Church, coached girls softball and Connie Mack Baseball, member Artesia Squares Square Dance Club, National Roofers Association and above everything else he loved his family. PHe was preceded in death by parents, brothers Haskell Stuart, Perry Stuart and Cecil Stuart, and by a sister Ruby Matlock. PSurvivors include his wife Louise Stuart of the family home; mother-in-law and father-in-law Lenard and Winona Fennell of Artesia; son John Leonard Stuart and wife Sandra of Artesia; daughters Nona Smith and husband Charles of Artesia, Ramona Kilpatrick and husband Roger of Artesia; the Boys Jim and Lucky; brother Marion Morgan of Carlsbad; sisters Nadine Seely of Ft. Worth, Texas, Jaunetta Parker of Carlsbad, Wanda Pfneister of Holiday, Texas, Betty Ellen Wilson of Electra, Texas Carolyn Byrd of Ft. Worth; grandchildren Christie Troublefield and husband Shaun, Candace Maurer and husband Michael, Keith Kilpatrick and wife Staci, Courtney Kilpatrick, J.B. Stuart, Misti Stuart, and Codi Stuart; great-grandchildren Kaci Halsel, Tristen Troublefield, and Dakota Maurer.
