Johnny Romero

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Mar. 10, 2011, at Terpening Son Mortuary for Johnny J. Romero, 3402 Larkin Lane, Rowlett, Texas.

Mr. Romero, 57, died Saturday, March 5, 2011 at his home.

Chaplain Brian Quinn will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Augustine Corona, Pilar Becerra, Raymond Matthews, Anthony Balencia, Andy Miller and Steve Tigert. Honorary pallbearer will be Isaac Romero. Visitation at Terpening Son Mortuary will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Johnny was born June 21, 1953 in Roswell, New Mexico the son of Juan S. Romero and Porfiria Montoya Romero. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He served in the United States Air Force. He was a lifelong Artesia resident before moving to the Dallas, Texas area in August of 2010.

He was an oilfield treater. He loved Dallas Cowboy Football, enjoyed playing and watching baseball and taking his grandson fishing.

Johnny was preceded in death by a sister Charlotte Castaneda.

Survivors include daughters Karen Romero of Rowlett, Texas and Kandice Romero of Wylie, Texas a sister Ruby Balencia of Artesia and a grandson Isaac Romero of Rowlett.
