Johnny Ramirez

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Johnny Ramirez of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Ramirez, 56, died Friday, March 7, 2014 at his home.

Fr. Martin Cornejo O.F.M. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carlos Rodriguez, John Rodriguez, Michael Fernandez, Brandon Ramirez, Andy Olivares, and Arte Sisneros.

Johnny was born December 10, 1957 in Artesia, New Mexico the son of Juan Ramirez and Eulalia Araujo Rodriguez. He came to Artesia the last time in 2012 from Big Spring, Texas.

Johnny was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and loved fishing and hunting in his younger years.

He was preceded in death by his father and 2 brothers Richard and Robert Rodriguez.

Survivors include his daughters Kourtney Ramirez of Big Spring, Texas, Melissa Olivares and husband Andy of Big Spring, and Dominic Otero and husband Jimmy of Las Cruces, N.M. sons Gabriel Salazar and wife Vanessa of Midland, TX, Alvin Rogers and wife Tracey of Midland, Jesse Rogers and Wife Shanell of Las Cruces, and Brandon Ramirez and wife Felicity of Las Cruces 14 grandchildren sisters Mary Ann Peterson of Artesia, Cecilia Fernandez and husband John of El Paso, Texas brother Basilio Rodriguez and wife Yolanda of Artesia 4 nieces and 9 nephews.
