Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 8, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, Amarillo, Texas, for Mrs. Johnny Pittman, 1402 W. Gilchrist Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Pittman, 90, died Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mrs. Pittman was born May 30, 1918 in Corsicana, Texas; the daughter of John Marvin Flovin and Virginia Dare Flovin. On Aug. 5, 1944 she was married to Mead C. Pittman in New Mexico. She came to Artesia on August 18, 2005 from Granbury, Texas. He preceded her in death April 16, 1993. She was a Real Estate Broker and member of the Baptist Denomination, and Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Lisa Gay Neel, a sister and 3 brothers. Survivors include daughter Gaylene Cox of Cloudcroft, N.M.; grandchildren C.R. Neel of Granbury, Texas, and William Alexander Ramer of Lawrence, Kansas; 7 Great-grandchildren Chance Frye, Kelsey, Kevin and Kristen Neel, Hunter, Kalen, and Kyle Ramer; numerous nieces and nephews.
