Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at Terpening Son Chapel for Johnny Lee Ezell, 1602 W. Centre Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Ezell, 81, died Monday, December 24, 2012 at Artesia General Hospital.
Nolan Frederick will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bronson Rue, Richard Sandoval, Thomas Ezell, Ray Allen Ezell, Randy Ingramand Donald Frederick.
Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Johnny was born February 11, 1931 in Shiloh, Missouri the son of James Ezell and Elsie Walker Ezell. He came to Artesia in 1959 from Missouri.
On November 10, 1950 he was married to Wanda Ingram in Carlsbad, NM. She preceded him in death September 16, 2007.
He served in the United States Army during Korean War.
He was a farm equipment mechanic, a member of the Baptist denomination, and the Moose Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jack Ezell.
Survivors include daughters Wilma Arroyos of Roswell, N.M., and Linda Moreno of Artesia brothers Jessy Ezell of Artesia, Franklin Ezell of San Antonio, Texas, and Wayne Ezell of Poplar Bluff, Missouri grandchildren April Rue and husband Bronson of Ruidoso, N.M., and Richard Sandoval of Roswell greatgranddaughters Whitney, Sarah and Hannah.
