Johnny Escarino

Graveside services are scheduled at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, at Woodbine Cemetery for Johnny Escarino of Roswell, New Mexico. Mr. Escarino, 56, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Pallbearers will be his family members. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Saturday beginning at 9:00 a.m. Mr. Escarino was born September 15, 1950 in Ft. Stockton, Texas; the son of Manuel T. Escareno and Julia Yharte Escareno. He came to Artesia in 1990 from California then moved to Roswell in 1995. He was a Tire Technician for Lykins Tire and was of the Catholic denomination. He also loved to tinker with old cars, collect hats, and woodwork. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his son Levi Escareno of Carson City, Nevada; mother Julia Y. Escareno of Artesia; brothers Adan Escareno and wife Emma of Artesia, Manuel Escareno of Austin, Texas, Efrain Escareno of Modesto, California, and Danny Escareno and wife Christina of Austin; sister Eva Ramirez and husband Joe of Ft. Stockton; numerous nieces and nephews.
