Johnnie Laman

A Memorial gathering is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 1 for Johnnie Mae Laman of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Laman, 92, passed away on November 21, 2012 in Artesia.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Johnnie was born on March 29, 1920 in Artesia; the daughter of John Morgan Norris and Margaret May (Gillespie) Norris. In 1942 she married Roy Carl Laman in Roswell, NM.

She was a housewife, devoted and loving mother and grandmother and a lifelong resident of Artesia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her sons Dean Laman (Karen) of Yelm, WA and Bill Laman (Tanya) of Artesia; daughter Dorothy Jean Laman of Artesia; grandchildren Cindy Herron, Dale Laman, Sherry Thurston, Shawnna Lewis, David Laman, Tammy Fuentes, Lori Trammel, Sheila Laman and Travis Laman; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
