Johnnie Connor

Services are pending for Johnnie JB Connor of Lake Arthur, New Mexico.

Mr. Connor, 87, died Monday, April 26, 2010 at Casa Maria Nursing Center in Roswell, New Mexico.


Mr. Connor was born March 20, 1923 in Groesbeck, Texas the son of Prairie Connor and Johnsie B. Raglin Connor.

He was married to Miss Martha Lee in Artesia, New Mexico. He came to Artesia in the 1930s from Texas. She preceded him in death May 30, 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

He served his country in the United States Army during WW II.

He worked as a gas attendant and a member of Thompson Chapel CME Church. He also attended Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his niece Joann Wright of Lake Arthur, and many other nieces and nephews, and cousins
