John David Poage went home to be with our Heavenly Father on July 14th 2022. He was born on March 30th 1990 to David and Tammy Poage.
He was preceded in death by his Gran-Patricia Sterling, his Dad-David Poage, his Opa-Robert Schneider, and his cousin Ben Bishop.
He is survived by his very proud Mama-Tammy (husband Cody Davis) his only sister-Ashley Perez, his awesome nieces and nephew Lacie, DJ and Malayah, his “brother-from-another-mother” and best friend that anyone could ask for Aaron Hardcastle, his Uncle John Poage  his Aunts Heather Poage, Amanda Steed and Natalie Schneider, his Grandparents George Belt (WV), Jennifer Schneider (OK) and George & Sammy Shipley, his cousins Dustin Poage, Alyssa Steed and Coawin Bishop (AZ) and Numerous friends and loved ones. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all.
John David Poage, JohnBoi/JohnnyBoi to those who were close to him, loved being outdoors, shooting guns and riding motorcycles. He jumped on his first dirt bike at 4yrs old and there was no turning back, he loved riding and he had a bike for the rest of his young life. He loved riding out on the back roads through the hay fields with his ‘Pops’ Steve Colwell and his Dad every chance they got. He loved guns and going shooting, not hunting just target practicing. For John David riding bikes and shooting guns were relaxing and therapeutic and he enjoyed those activities as often as he could.
John David had a love and appreciation for anything old school, everything from cars to music. Old cars, fast cars, loud cars, big trucks, little trucks, low riders and everything in between including heavy equipment and the boy could drive and operate all of it very well. He enjoyed working and he operated heavy equipment and worked in the oil fields of southeastern NM & west TX til he could no longer work. His appreciation for music spanned across all genres. From the oldies to heavy metal and rap and everything in between. His love for music started at a very young age and he always appreciated a good, loud, thumping stereo system.
John David had a live and hunger for knowledge, not school, he hated school but he loved learning. He was never one for big crowds and he would always gravitate toward the older people in the room. He appreciated and respected their knowledge, experience, wisdom  and their stories. He didn’t want that to get lost and tried to make sure he helped pass that along as much as he could.
For John David family meant everything. He loved his family dearly. If John David loved you he held you in his heart and never forgot you. He was a very respectful, genuine and kind young man with a huge heart and a very contagious and beautiful smile. He was genuine and kind but also very ornery all the way to the end. He was truly one of a kind and will be dearly missed.
