Jo Smith

No services are planned for Jo Smith of Artesia, New Mexico. Friends and family will gather from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Saturday, July 2, at 1818 Booker. Cremation will take place under direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Miss Smith, 34, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jo was born August 29, 1970 in Artesia; the daughter of Norman Smith and Sylvia Olguin Smith. She was a medical secretary; enjoyed camping, and loved music and reading. She was preceded in death by her sister Shannon Smith. Survivors include her fianc Patrick Ray Chavez of Artesia; her parents Norman and Sylvia Smith of Artesia; sisters Jamie Byers and Juhree Smith both of Artesia; a niece Taylor Byers of Artesia; a nephew Dylan Byers of Artesia; grandmothers Fidelia Olguin of Artesia and Ruth Jones of Roswell, N.M.; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
