Jimmy Sanchez Jr.

Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Church of God for Jimmy Sanchez Jr., of Artesia.

Mr. Sanchez, 44, died Sunday, October 12, 2014 in Lubbock, Texas.

Pastor Wendon Pettey will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15 at Terpening Son Mortuary. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. in the Mortuary Chapel.

Pallbearers are Richard Cardenas Sr., Michael DeHoyos, Eliseo Olguin Jr., Manuel Esquibel, Alfredo Gabaldon and Jerome Holguin. Honorary Pallbearers are Luis Machuca, John Briseno, Brice Troublefield, Steve Gutierrez and Brian Ybarra.

Jimmy was born August 30, 1970 in Artesia, NM the son of Jimmy N. Sanchez Sr. and Elfidia Olguin Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

He was a dispatcher for Southeast Ready Mix. He was a member of Artesia Church of God, loved to play baseball and softball and enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball.

Survivors include the Mother of his children Sheila Sanchez: girlfriend Laura Lanning of Artesia: parents Jimmy and Elfidia Sanchez of Artesia sons Brian Kelly of Amarillo, TX, Benjamin Arenivas of Artesia, Jimmy Sanchez III of Artesia, Jacob Sanchez of Artesia and Nicholas Sanchez of Artesia daughter Jenna Sanchez of Las Cruces, NM sisters Jennifer Sanchez of Artesia and Crystal Sanchez of Artesia grandchildren Bianca, Zachary, Brian, Raelynn, Natalle, Sadie and Ebonie nieces Shannah Esquibel, Janae Esquibel and Gianna Gabaldon nephew Angel Esquibel numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
