Jimmy Martinez

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 11, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Jimmy Martinez, 712 N. 4th St., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Martinez, 35, died Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at in Artesia, New Mexico.

Burial will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Estevan Grado, Israel Valencia, Eddie Renteria, Fernando Franco, Ernesto Martinez, Ricardo Martinez and Gino Torres. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremiah Florez, Eddie Renteria Jr., Oscar Sanchez, Kevin Duncan, Carlos Renteria and Al Martinez.

A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Grace Church.

Mr. Martinez was born October 2, 1974 in Artesia, New Mexico the son of Santiago Porras and Angie Martinez Porras.

He was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

He was an equipment operator for Halliburton and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by father and a grandmother Ernestina Martinez.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather Angie and Ramon Rodriguez of Artesia daughter Marisol Martinez of Carlsbad, N.M. sons Alex Martinez of South Carolina and Jacob Martinez of Las Cruces, N.M. sister Angelina Valdez of Artesia stepbrother Estevan Grado of Artesia several cousins, aunts, and uncles.
