Jimmy Bauer

Memorial services are scheduled at 4:00 P.M. Monday, January 6 at Westside Church of Christ in Artesia, N.M. for Jimmy Don Bauer of Hope, New Mexico. Mr. Bauer, 40, died Friday, December 27, 2002 at his home. Tom Dawson will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place. Mr. Bauer was born November 30, 1962 in Petaluma, California; the son of Ray Bauer and Joanne Hopper Nickels Bauer. On July 16, 1987 he was married to Donna Dozier in Oroville, Calif. They came to Artesia in 1997. He was a locksmith and a welder and member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Hopper; a step-father Ray Nickels; and by three aunts; and two cousins. Survivors include his wife Donna Bauer of the family home; his father Ray Bauer of California; his mother Joanne Nickels of Hope; daughters Sandy Jo Bauer and Billie Jo Bauer both of Hinton, Okla.; brothers Eddie Clark and Paul Nickels both of Portland, Oregon; and sisters Joyic Mares and Patricia Mares both of Hope.
