Jill (Raymond) Branch, age 57, adoring wife to Bobby Branch, mother of son, Drew Hodges, stepdaughters, Summer (Cody) Ross and McKenzie (Michael) Perini, and grandmother of, Hudson, Haven, and Harley Ross and Lucy and Desmond Perini, passed away in the afternoon of July 8 after a year-long and courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Jill is also survived by sisters-in-law Jerri (Wes) Shields, Kerry (Michael) Boggs, bother-in law Tate (Kandi) Branch as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and family members who loved her just as much as she loved them.
Jill was born May 29, 1966, to Carlyle and Marcia Raymond at Patrick AFB/Satellite Beach, Florida. As the "baby" of the family, she grew up with sisters, Ruth (Richard) Cardall, Lora Machado, and Gail (Jeff) Ward and brothers, Carlyle Raymond and Joseph Raymond. She enjoyed a close relationship with her siblings, and she stayed connecting with nieces and nephews.
Jill moved to New Mexico, where she met and instantly fell in love with her husband of 28 years, Bobby. She was full of love, compassion, joy and empathy. Her life spoke of vibrancy, positive energy, and motivation. It was through these admirable attributes--and so many more, that she found her true calling and embarked on her career in nursing. She was a highly skilled and respected nurse, competent in all disciplines of nursing and a favorite among colleagues and patients. Her vivacious smile was such a joy to see.
Jill loved the solace and peace of living on their ranch East of Mayhill. She loved her many pets and the wildlife there. She liked to stay fit by hiking, cycling, and exercising. She was also energized by what cities offered and enjoyed traveling abroad. Jill loved to spend as much time as she could with her many friends. She especially loved the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and placed her complete faith and hope in His love. She constantly reminded us that she would see us all again. So, we gladly say, "See you again" to a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend..
A “Celebration of Life” service will be held Saturday July 29th at 10:00 AM at West Main Baptist Church, Artesia, New Mexico.
