Jesusita Morales

Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Friday, November 5 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Jesusita P. Morales, 702 W. James Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Morales, 69, died Sunday, October 31, 2004 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Father Richard Lifrak SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose Porras, Edwardo Rubio, Sr., Billie Delgado, Chris Delgado, David Anaya, and Raul Anaya. Honorary pallbearers will be Alvin Denetso and Robert Morales. A rosary service is also planned for 6:30 P.M. Thursday at Our Lady of Grace. Visitation at Terpening Son Mortuary will begin at 10:00 A.M. Thursday. Mrs. Morales was born April 9, 1935 in Chinati, Texas; the daughter of Pablo Ponce and Francisca Martinez Ponce. She came to Artesia in 1950 from Texas. On April 30, 1959 she was married to Alberto A. Morales in Carlsbad, N.M. He preceded her in death September 20, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by sisters Maria Gabaldon and Adelita Anaya; by a brother Alvino Ponce; and by a son Alfredo Morales. She was a housewife and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Survivors include a son Robert Morales of Artesia; a daughter Susie Delgado of Artesia; brothers Jose Ponce and wife Manuela of Artesia, Henry Ponce and wife Lupe of Roswell, N.M., and Pablo Ponce, Jr. of Las Cruces, N.M.; sisters Vivian Ochoa and husband Lu
ico of Artesia and Eloisa Gabaldon and husband Pompeyo of Artesia; and five grandchildren.
