Jesus Gardea

Memorial services are scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26 at Primera Iglesia Bautista Church for Jesus Alberto Gardea of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Gardea, 48, passed away on April 22, 2017 at Artesia General Hospital.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Jesus was born on April 10, 1969 in El Paso, TX; the son of Juan de Dios Gardea and Maria de Jesus (Chagoya) Gardea. He came to Artesia in 2013 from Las Cruces, NM.

Jesus was a mechanic for Pecos Valley Equipment and John Deere and attended West Main Baptist Church. He enjoyed drawing, tattooing, movie theaters, and cooking.

Survivors include his girlfriend Monica Saenz of Artesia; his parents Juan de Dios Gardea and Maria de Jesus Sepulveda; brothers John Gardea and David Gardea of California, Sig Sepulveda of Arizona, Raymond Sepulveda of Iowa and Richard Sepulveda of Las Cruces; sisters Christine Sepulveda of Milwaukee, WI and Martina Sepulveda of Peoria, AZ; aunts Anna Richards, Leticia Stallings and Sara Aguilar; grandmother Loretto Chagoya; numerous nieces and nephews.
